Out of Country/Province
Out of Province vehicles require an inspection. Bring the ownership documents to the New Urban Registry to receive the request form from the Motor Vehicle system. Once the vehicle has successfully passed this inspection it is eligible for Alberta registration. If the vehicle is being imported from another country, documentation from Canada Customs is required to prove that the car is eligible for registration. Customs will provide you with the necessary forms when the vehicle first enters the country. For Canadian residents who wish to import a vehicle from the USA or other countries, please visit the Registrar of Imported Vehicles.
